MORE FOOD LESS BOMBS

The money spent by the world on weapons in one week is enough to feed all the people on earth for a year. When millions of people go hungry each day, how can we spend another dollar on war? More than 20,000 people starve to death every day. If you feel that people need food more than bombs we invite you to call us today. The next few years could profoundly change the world for generations and Food Not Bombs is working to make those changes positive for everyone. We are an all volunteer movement with autonomous groups active in the Americas, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. We welcome your help.

Space Coast Food Not Bombs is organizing several projects in Florida's Space Coast

* Free food distribution to local people in need

* Literature tables to provide information about food, peace, and justice

* Providing hot meals at demonstrations and events

* Organizing creative actions in protest to war and poverty

We invite you to work with us to provide desperately needed services and information to our Florida Space Coast communities. You can make a difference! Volunteers are needed for this new Florida Food Not Bombs group.

WHY CHOOSE FOOD NOT BOMBS?

Food Not Bombs is great. You have the opportunity to meet up with your friends, meet new people, help out people in need, and the organization of the group is awesome. Everyone has a voice in the decision making process, regardless of race, sex, age, or creed. The homeless people you meet tell the best stories, are very friendly and thankful for you helping them out. Knowing that you made someone's day by just providing them with a free meal and talking to them must be one of the most rewarding things in life.

And ( probably the best thing ever) you get free food yourself!

Canned food: tomato products of all types, vegetables
–corn, green beans, peas, carrots, etc.
Fresh produce–vegetables and fruit
Rice and beans (canned and dry)
Spices and condiments (salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc.)
Sugar
Soy Milk, Tofu and textured vegetable protein
An industrial-sized place to cook
Bowls, plates, glasses (plastic)
Bowls, plates, cups (paper)
Dish soap
Utensils (plastic and metal)
Clothes (adult: pants, jeans, T-shirts, shirts, blouses, socks, underwear)
Personal hygiene items (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deoderant, shampoo, etc.)
